Trekking in Bhutan mainly consists of a team of trekking guide, cook & assistant, Yaks or ponies for carrying trek equipments and long walks.
The trek always being early in the morning after breakfast. Lunch will always be packed and served hot.
Normal trek takes 6 or 7 hours of walk, daily. Uphill climb is encountered many times on route and should be careful of altitude sickness.
If suffering from altitude sickness, it is not advisable for someone to go for trek in Bhutan or in other parts of the Himalayas .
There are mainly three categories of treks in Bhutan – Easy or Mediocre trek , Moderate trek and Hardcore trek.
