Trongsa Tshechu

Trongsa has historical significance, prior to ascending the throne, every monarch has to serve as Trongsa Penlop (Governor). With such importance, Trongsa Tshechu is equally an attraction among the local and neighbors. Trongsa is one day drive from Thimphu. On the way, the visitors can enjoy other attractions. The 109th National Day was held in Trongsa and graced by His Majesty the King, His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo and The Gyalsey.
